John Phillips, M.D.
A native of Dallas, Texas, Dr. John Phillips received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Georgia. A prior Army officer, Dr. Phillips served as chief of orthopedic service while stationed at Fort Sill in Oklahoma, both before and after his deployment to Tallil, Iraq.
Dr. Phillips is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has extensive experience in orthopedic trauma care, upper and lower extremity surgery, joint replacement surgery, and sports-related injuries.
Dr. Phillips resides in Blountville with his wife, Sarah.
